The primary framing structure of a Pre-Engineered Building is an assembly of three-piece built-up structural members. These members are formed by welding together steel plates to form the I-section. The structural members are then bolted together to form the entire frame of the Pre-Engineered superstructure. Other forms of primary framing include open-web trusses. Cold formed Z and C shaped secondary structural members form the secondary, acting as supporting system for the external cladding. Roll-formed profiled sheeting is often used for the external cladding of the building.
